Manage your attachments as follows:
  • Click on down arrow beside user name (top right)
  • Click on "My Settings" (menu item)
  • Click on "Manage Attachments (tab on left)
  • You are now provided with a list of all attachments that you have uploaded
  • Click in "check box" to right of image
  • Click on "Delete Selected" at bottom of page

Title:  Sort Order

Please note that the first page of attachments listed are the most recent.
You may want to start deleting from the last page.
You are also provided with the name of the post that the image is uploaded in and the date of that post ... both of which will provide you with information that will help in the decision to to delete or not to delete!

1) Scroll down until you can see the "Attachments" area

2) Click on "Browse"
  • a pop up window will come up,
  • search for the image file,
  • select the file,
  • click "Attach This File" (it may take a moment for the file to complete loading.)
If the file in too large (over 2 MB) you will need to resize it before trying again.

3) Once you are satisfied with your entry click the "Add Reply" or "Post" to complete your entry.

Starting from the main forum index page, click a link to one of the forums that best suits the subject you are posting about. Once that forum opens do the following:

  • Click "Start New Topic" button (top right side of forum page)
  • Topic view form opens -- Follow the form sections below
  • Topic Information
    • Topic Title
      • Type a title that best describes the subject of your topic
    • Topic Description
      • This field is optional however can provide the reader with a little more information about your topic
  • Topic Poll -- This section is for creating polls and will be covered in a separate tutorial
  • Topic -- This section is used for the body of your topic and the items listed below can be found on the toolbar
    • Posted Image (This is only available in the rich text editor) - This will turn off all formatting tools currently in use.
    • Posted Image (This is only available in the rich text editor) - This will show the HTML source of the post and allow you to enter the post in HTML. Note that we filter posts and some HTML may not be allowed or saved.
    • Other styles - This menu contains all other options which do not have their own toolbar button, such as acronyms or spoilers.
    • Fonts - This menu allows you to set what font your post is displayed in.
    • Sizes - This menu allows you to set what size the text in your post is.
    • Posted Image - This menu allows you to set the color of the text in your post.
    • Posted Image - This will redo the last undone change.
    • Posted Image - This will undo the last change made.
    • Posted Image - This will make the text bold.
    • Posted Image - This will make the text italic .
    • Posted Image - This will make the text underlined.
    • Posted Image - This will make the text striked out.

    • Click "Choose File"

    • Window will close and you return to the topic form
    • Click "Attach This File"
  • Options -- This section provides additional options for your post
    • Click --> Click to Configure Post Options -- to expand the screen so you can see your options
      • The options that will be available here depend on the access set by your administrator
  • When you have finished creating your topic click -- "Post New Topic"

      • Gravatar avatar by entering gravatar email
    • Choose an avatar from one of our galleries

  • Click on "Links" tab from main navigation menu at top of forum page
  • Click on the category that best suits the link you are submitting
  • Click on "Submit New Link" button on the top right
  • Complete the form
    • Link Title
    • Link URL
    • Describe your link in large white message box (not mandatory)
  • If you have an icon that relates to the link you are submitting you can upload it by clicking on "Choose File" button. If you don't have an icon the AnAG default button will be used
  • Click "Submit New Link"
You will not see your link immediately as all links must be approved by AnAG staff ...

Criteria for Approval of a Submitted Link
  • Avian resources must be non-profit
    • A breeder who sells birds from their website and also has a lot of articles won't be approved. Although the articles could be considered avian resources AnAG will not become associated with the sale of live animals.
    • Another avian forum where they don't charge a fee to their members may be accepted
    • Blogs about birds that don't advertise may be accepted
    • Non profit avian orgs may will be accepted (Birdline, World Parrot Trust, Alex Foundation)
  • Avian shopping
    • No sale of birds from anywhere will be accepted
    • Link must be avian related ie accessories/cages/food
  • All groups members and above can submit links (not newbies)
  • All links will require approval and AnAG has sole discretion on whether or not a link will be accepted

To access and update the "About Me" page ..
  • Go to My Profile
    • Click down arrow beside display name (top right)
    • Click My Profile from drop down menu
  • Your Profile opens and by default you are on your "About Me" page
    • Your "About Me" page will contain your signature and any other information you choose to share
    • If you haven't updated your "About Me" page it would be blank (except for signature if you have one)
  • If you want to update your "About Me" page click on "Edit My Profile" button on the top right
  • Your profile will now be opened in "edit mode"
  • Click on "Change About Me Page" tab on left
  • A new page will open that looks like a regular post
  • Type in any information you choose to share
  • Click "Save Changes" button
